I stumbled across this book when it was recommended to me in my Kindle store on Amazon. I typically don't read the reviews on Amazon because I often find that they give too much away or they are just plain snarky. I did glance over the reviews mainly because I was actually on my laptop and not my Kindle. The reviews seemed to like the story even though they were pretty critical of the editing. The price was right at $1.99 because lets face it, as a book addict $1.99 is a steal when I was so used to spending at least $4.99 for a paperback at the store. I am so glad that I spent the $1.99! Yes the editing isn't the best, but really the storyline was so good I often forgot about the editing issues. Occasionally I would find myself re-reading a passage due to the grammatical errors, but it didn't take away from my experience in the slightest.
Rule is the tattooed and pierced hero....did I mention I am a tattoo slut?!?! After meeting Rule I may have to become a tattooed and piercing slut! Well maybe that is taking it a little too far, my hubby is happy to help me out on the tattoo front but he may draw the line at piercings...oh well!....anyway back to Rule. As mentioned he is a hottie bad boy with just enough family drama to make you immediately want to help fix his issues just like Shaw does. I love how Shaw isn't some perfect princess but she has her own issues that she ultimately has to deal with in order for her and Rule to deal with their relationship. I totally became invested in these characters as well as the supporting characters.
So would I recommend you jump up and buy this one ASAP...........YES!!!! Just as long as you go into it knowing that you aren't going to read a perfectly edited book. Jay Crownover has a fan in me and I can't wait for Ayden and Jet's story to come out!!! Plus I hope that she continues to involve Rule and Shaw in the following books! I am a sucker for series books that update you on what is going on with previous characters!

Beautiful Disaster
My first review will be of one of my all time favorite books, Beautiful Disaster. It even inspired the title for this blog. So lets start out by saying, if you haven't read Abby and Travis' story....GET IT NOW!!!! I have lost count how many times I have read this book and I typically don't read books over and over. It pretty much stays up at the top of my book list in my Kindle because I read it so many times. Jamie McGuire did an awesome job developing the characters in this beautiful story. In my opinion the hallmark of a great story is one that grabs me, pulls me in, and allows me to feel all the emotions that the characters feel. I was able to experience this with Beautiful Disaster which is why I continue to go back to it time after time. I am able to not only feel the love Abby feels for Travis and the love he feels for her, but the love that Shep and America feel as well. I often find that I can feel emotions of the main characters but feel unconnected to the supporting characters, but this definitely wasn't the case this time. I am also now addicted to the Facebook pages of Travis and Abby....yes I will admit that I am a 29 year old married mom that FB stalks fictional characters!!!! Travis is a hot, tattooed bad boy (and yes the tattoo's definitely add to his appeal in my book, I have a friend that calls me a tattoo slut!) that makes his living in a college underground fighting club. He is basically the campus man whore until he lays eyes on the stunning Abby Abernathy. Abby has a past that she wishes to forget and has worked very hard at doing. She is pretty successful in this until she meets Travis who threatens to pull her back to her roots. This is not a flowery love story with the typical get together, have a conflict, break up, then the hero makes a grand gesture and they live happily ever after. This is a real life story with real life emotions. Both Abby and Travis will screw up and sabotage the relationship in their own ways, but the Beautiful Disaster that is their relationship finds a way to overcome the odds. I hope that you rush out, buy this book, and fall in love with it just as I have. The writing is excellent! I can't wait for more from the beautifully talented Jamie McGuire!

Introduction....
Hi to all and welcome to Beautifully Addicted to Books. I will freely admit that I am addicted to books and the invention of the e-reader has only fueled my addiction! I love that I am able to discover so many authors that I probably otherwise would have never discovered. Back before my Dad got me the most awesome gift in the form of a Kindle, I used to be in my local Barnes and Noble at least twice a week to buy books. Lets just say when they built a B&N less than 3 miles from my house I think my husband had a small mental breakdown ;) My hope with this blog is to provide a great review of the books that I read, and lets face it, I read A LOT! Sometimes I read a book a day!
